Food & LodgingWe Welcome You into Our Homes B&B stays with our neighbours are a highly popular feature of every tour. We welcome you to our home on the first evening of the tour with a barbecue dinner in our delightful valley location at Cable Bay. A good way of getting to know one another. Where We Stay Our accommodations are in B&B's, motels and lodges where we have been guests for many years. Our relationships with our hosts and hostesses are of long standing, and we arrive as first-name friends. We also stay at a high country sheep station and experience life on the farm. Tour prices are based on twin occupancy of rooms. There is a supplement for travellers requiring single occupancy of a room. Meals We believe that plenty of good food and a pleasant atmosphere for dining are important parts of your holiday enjoyment. The South Island offers a splendid variety of fresh food - seafood, lamb, venison, cheeses, fresh vegetables and fruits. All breakfasts and lunches are included. Breakfasts are provided at the accommodations by your tour guide or we eat out in cafes. Lunches are picnic style or at cafes. Approximately half of the evening meals are provided, most sampling the local cuisine in restaurants. The remaining evening meals are at your own cost. Alcohol is not included with restaurant meals. We will send you a questionnaire about your personal food preferences before your tour. We carefully cater to vegetarians and those who require special diets.
